News: Bassey on Broadway ‘After Midnight’?

Attention Dame Shirley Bassey fans! Per Michael Riedel, entertainment columnist with the New York Post, the producers of the Broadway musical, ‘After Midnight‘ are reportedly trying to woo Dame Shirley to appear in the musical this Spring. This would be an awesome US comeback for Dame Shirley, who has not performed on Broadway since 1986. Dame Shirley is reportedly “waffling” on the offer because she does not want to commit to multiple shows – she reportedly only does “one-night-only gigs” these days. The producers of the musical are due to go to Monaco, where Dame Shirley lives, to try and convince our Dame to join the cast, even if it’s for one night only. We sincerely hope Dame Shirley will say ‘yes’.
